Behind enemy lines
The past few months have seen Hollywood scrambling to reschedule a number of unfortunately timed projects involving terrorists, exploding skyscrapers, and the like. Behind Enemy Lines is the first movie that seems more timely, not less, in light of recent events. In these days of healing wounds and hunting villains, of American flags and heroes in uniform, Behind Enemy Lines is an unabashedly patriotic pop anthem of courage under fire and sticking it to the bad guy. And, with special forces behind enemy lines enjoying a prominence and even a celebrity like never before, this film gives us a feel-good story about a hero alone in hostile territory, faced with overwhelming opposition forces, surviving by his wits. But whereas Three Kings — though a better film — was cynical and antiheroic, a deconstructionist product of the Clinton era, Behind Enemy Lines goes over the top and beyond in grandly heroic and even superheroic style, in a way unmatched by any war movie since the Reagan-era blockbuster Rambo: First Blood Part II. Wilson plays Lt.

Fox Moves Up Release of 'Behind Enemy Lines'
Behind Enemy Lines movie review () | Roger Ebert
The film, which had been slated for a Jan. The injured flyboy's commanding officer Gene Hackman decides to launch a renegade rescue mission to save the soldier's life. In addition to the positive reaction to the picture, the "trailer has been playing to cheers and applause across the nation," Bruce Snyder, Fox's domestic distribution president, tells Variety. To make the new November release date, Fox has had to kick the picture's marketing efforts into overdrive. Behind Enemy Lines is the second military action film being bumped from a release date into this year; Ridley Scott's highly anticipated Black Hawk Down was pushed up from February to an Oscar-qualifying date of Dec.
Behind Enemy Lines
A lot of pretentious movies open with a solemn quote against a black screen. It was sent directly to DVD in , a cheesy and overwrought follow up to the equally cheesy and overwrought but higher budget theatrical film starring Owen Wilson, although its plot has nothing to do with that one. Yet while I can't quite recommend it as a so-bad-it's-good classic like "The Room" or "Leprechaun 4: In Space," I also wouldn't dismiss it quite as harshly as the film critic Mike Jeavons did in his review which inspired this article.
Cambridge United had an excellent season last time around, defying expectations to secure a 14th placed finish in League One as a newly-promoted side to the division. United have also added strength in depth with the additions of Saikou Janneh and Fejiri Okenabirhie in attack, as well as with centre-back Zeno Ibsen Rossi. United aimed to line up the toughest opposition possible in pre-season, which will hopefully serve them well in a challenging division this year. They also avoided any notable injuries, which is a positive. There is definitely a good feeling around the club after the last couple of seasons, with quiet optimism as to what they may be able to achieve this campaign.
